Looking into the eyes of a hunter
Cat’s eyes are incredible. They’re able to catch light and movement at a 180-degree angle. And they can see in every kind of light. Regularly checking your furry friend’s eyes will help ensure that she can hunt in even the darkest corners of your home.
When you check the eyes, the inside area should be pink. The whites of her eyes should be glossy white, with no redness. Look for normal pupil size, and check the responsiveness of the pupil to light. The pupil is wide in the dark, and becomes small in the light. Check whether both eyes look the same. Watch for discharge, changes in color or crusts around the eyes, all of which are signs of possible infection. Report anything unusual to your vet.
