Fleas
A kitten will react to having fleas by scratching, licking and biting herself excessively. Check her coat for dark flecks—flea dirt—or the fleas themselves.
If you think your kitten may have fleas, contact your vet and they will recommend an appropriate treatment.
Don’t forget: If your cat does have fleas, you should also treat her living environment, including bedding and possibly carpet.
