The Ingredients in WHISKAS® cat food
WHISKAS® cat food is made of quality ingredients, such as:
• Vegetables (e.g. carrots, peas)
• Grains (rice, etc.),
• Vitamins and minerals
Every flavour and recipe is thoughtfully designed to deliver the ideal nutrients, such as proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and water.
Ingredients must comply with their specifications. Every new ingredient is tested before use, and suppliers are regularly checked.
How is WHISKAS® cat food made?As obligate carnivores, cats need a diet high in protein.
Therefore, ingredients like fish, and poultry, pork, etc., go in both wet and dry food.
Both Dry and Wet pet foods are usually designed as main meals to meet the nutritional needs of a cat at specific life stages. They are the main sources of cats’ daily nutrition intake, such as protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. (Fresh drinking water should always be available.)
For Wet pet food, depending on the product design, the ingredients are processed and made into different product formats, such as chunks in gravy, pate, chunks in jelly, etc.
For Dry pet food, different ingredients are processed accordingly and made into dried or semi-moist kibbles/pockets. A product may contain a blend of kibbles/pockets.
